Reaching for the Stars

On the 17th of July 2024, St. Bridget’s Convent Primary School was aglow with the splendour of a starry-themed Annual Prize Giving Ceremony, a fitting celebration of the brilliant minds that enrich our school community.

Rev. Sr. Dilrukshika Silva, the Principal of the Primary School, presented the annual report for the year 2023, encapsulating the year’s notable achievements and milestones.

Our young achievers from grades 3, 4, and 5 were the stars of the day, recognised for their outstanding academic and extracurricular accomplishments.

The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Rev. Sr. Renuka Silva, who once helmed our Primary School as Principal. Her inspiring address ignited a sense of purpose and ambition among the students, teachers and parents in attendance.

As the morning progressed, the stage came alive with a dazzling array of performances by our talented students. From mesmerising dances to toe-tapping songs, our students enthralled the audience, earning an enthusiastic round of applause and deep admiration.

We owe an infinite debt of gratitude to Rev. Sr. Priyangani Hathurusinghe, our former Principal. It was her exceptional leadership that steered our school through a year of remarkable achievements in 2023. Her visionary foresight was the guiding star that led us to this momentous celebration.

As Winston Churchill wisely stated, “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.” Emboldened by this spirit of resilience, we eagerly anticipate witnessing the continued brilliance of our young learners in the years to come.
